It was pretty much awesome. We talked for a good 2 hours, if not more. Great way to start the morning….But, today should be interesting. Heading home today, haha, again. I know. Maybe getting down on some Risk action tonight with the guys. Should be sweet. Haven’t played in years. Also today, I’m stopping by Costco to check for a job opportunity. So keep your fingers crossed. I hear they start out paying pretty well. Which would help with rent, which is due today. Awesome. Well yea, off to shower and get ready for the day. Today will be great. Well for the reason I mentioned before. But yea, hope everyone’s day goes well. Check out the verse of the day today.

Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.Colossians 1:10 NLT

Encouraging huh?

It’s been a while.

And I don’t know why….but I’m sorry. I just haven’t had much to talk about haha. School is almost out, thats a plus. How many of you wish this semester never happened? I do. I’ll raise my hand. I can’t wait for Christmas break. I get like uber amounts of time off and I’m ready to go into next semester. Hopefully I will have a wee bit more of a heart for school haha.  But anyways. So what are people up to now-a-days? Anything new? I hopefully have something new….in the works….we will see. I’m praying about it. Been kinda dumb, but I’m getting back on the ball. Gotta make a difference.Sorry for the lame blog. But hopefully I will get some more inspiration soon. Have a great day.

Thanks for Everything

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!I hope everyone’s day is awesome and full of great food, great fellowship and most of all,  time to relax from the stress of work and school. I plan on trying to be thankful for things I often times over look. And I encourage everyone to do the same.  So regardless of how much you eat, how far your pants grow, how many smooch marks are left on your cheek from big Aunt Ruth, or how many times you have to fend off you obnoxious little cousins, take time to thank God for what He has done in your life. I found this pretty awesome, pretty easy prayer as i was reading tonight. It is pretty good.

“Heavenly Father, Today I enter your gates with thanksgiving and your courts with praise.  I praise you because you are God and there is none like you!  Father, thank you for who you are and all the mighty works that you have done on the earth.  Thank you for sending Jesus to bring peace between you and me through his death on the cross.  Thank you that I have new life available to me through the Holy Spirit who now lives in me!  Thank you for creating me with a special purpose in mind. Thank you for blessing me in so many ways – (list them).  Please help me to remember all these blessings throughout the day today.  May I never tire from thanking you!  In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

So once again, I hope everyone has a super good holiday time. It’s pretty late as it is right now and I have quite a bit of driving to do tomorrow. So im going to bed. Sleep well all. Have a great day!

Who are you thanking?

As this glorious holiday comes closer, our mouths start to water, we start dreaming of full bellies and longs naps, meeting family and spending quality time with them, fellowship with other people, and of course, the best meal of the year hands down; I couldn’t help but think, am I really thankful for anything?Well this year has changed my life. I am thankful for so much…. As most of you know, I recently moved out and to Chico with a real good guy, Bryan Gumpy, and we have been here going to school for about three months now, almost four. Sure, it has been tough, low on money, low on food, but we are hanging in there. As we continue live here, I am thankful that we have been provided for as long as we have been. I mean, we have lived here miraculously almost three months with neither of having a job. We worked our tails off over the summer to be able to have money, and God-willing we didn’t die from over exertion. The days were long, but I’m proud of where we are today. First apartment, living by ourselves. It’s tight. Wouldn’t change it. Plus, besides those things,  I am also thankful for the friends I have that have been faithful and there and supportive, plus all the ones I have made also. But this Thanksgiving, I am really going to focus more on being thankful. Instead of I guess, going along with the motions, I’m going to enjoy this. I have a great life. I get to spend time with my family, though it may be hard to accept that they are really related to me; they are small, and they are all I have, so I’m going to be more accepting, or at least work on it…. So I guess what I’m saying is that I want to encourage everyone to enjoy life. I mean. I was talking to someone the other day, I won’t mention names, but I love this person wholeheartedly, and they were struggling, in a sense. I couldn’t stress how much it changed me, since I used to struggle like them, to just look at life differently. Be positive, you always here, look at the glass as half full. Well why not you see the glass as three quarters of the way full? Sure, life is tough at some times, but I have come to realize that in life, I have no where to go but up. I’m not afraid of life anymore. I’m living with no money,on my own, paying my own rent, gas, electric, and spotting for food on a regular basis, I pay for my insurance, and I maintain almost two cars a year. Though, I’m not afraid, and it makes me smile to know that God has got my back…. So this year, I’m real thankful. I have a life worth living and that’s exactly what I’m gonna do. Don’t pass up the chances you have to really realize how blessed your life is right? I forgot to mention. I am also kinda thankful for Adam Sandler. Kinda.

I’ll Be…um…er…maybe not.

Now, before this happens, I thought it might be to warn you, I’m a high bass, or a low tenor, but in no way am I a true tenor, nor can I say that Gumpy is either. But we have this friend out in Oklahoma. She wanted a song, we kinda did this one. And…well.

This is for Michelle, and anyone that views this.

Oh yea, and well, we let the camera roll. You know, had to try and get it right. This is what else we captured.

So enjoy this. It was fun. And now we know, no more high songs!

One man can do so much

This guy is my hero. Shaun Groves has been an inspiration to me, ever since I began listening to his music and taking to heart what he talks about. I have been reading up on his blog and every time i feel encouraged. Sometimes more than others, but htis man is out there winning hearts for God. He is using the gifts God gave him and to me, that makes him a person to look up to. I can only hope to become a glimpse of what this man is.

Recently, he went over to Ethiopia to visit. Shaun is an artist that is highly involved with Compassion International. Which I have talked about before. Anyways, he jsut recently made a trip over to Ethiopia to visit the country, learn more about the center over there, and last but not least, meet one of the kids, he and his wife are sponsoring through this program. I watched the video he made and was just in shock. I wish someday to be able to travel like that, for that purpose to spread the word of God. In the Bible it says, “For we are a light unto the world, and light should not be hidden.” (Roughly paraphrased) This guy is doing it. He is making things happen. He is out there like I said. So check out this video he made from Ethiopia. And tell me that you aren’t touched in the slightest way.

So I had to try this out, see what it sounded like, see how bad I sound and to see what needed improvement. Well, i came down to the conclusion as to what I needed, improvement. Don’t judge me haha. I tried. I need singing lessons….anyone wanna contribute to the Help Bryan Sing Better Fund? I’m now accepting any bills larger than $2. Oh, and ignore the sketchy beginning.

Oh, and I found out today i really do appreciate the joys of modern technology, and my Mac. Makes life fun. I got to talk to a person to day who snorted when she laughed, and she lived in Oklahoma, weird eh. But I also got to talk to a good friend. Good times. Well, another class awaits. Cheerio kids!
