Deciding What To Wear….

So, I started working at Dutch Brothers coffee not to long ago. I’m loving it. I’m helping train a guy right now, but after that, I will be the main night guy. Which should be fun. Nights are chill out there. It is a slight bit of a drive, but its a better job and far more hours than for the job I was driving the same distance before back in Woodland. So keep your fingers crossed that things continue to go well there. I love it. I am also going to be looking for another job shortly, once I get my hours squared away.

I have also been contemplating the thought of trying things differently. I haven’t been your top-notch Christian lately, just due to having the last two Sundays call for me elsewhere. And I know going to church doesn’t make you Christian, its the relationship, but it does help me out to have someplace to go if that makes sense. And to top that, most night Bible studies are at, well, night, so unless I find something on one of my off nights, then its not going to happen. Hopefully something will show up. I want to get back into leading worship, like for youth group. I miss that. I miss the old youth group back home. I know Cody and Jamie are doing a super job in helping those kids there. But I miss it. I miss my boys. But good things come to an end sometimes.

And last but not least, I want to say sorry for being so out of it lately. My mind has been elsewhere, hoping, wishing, maybe even praying a little bit that somethings would change, but as it fairs so far, things haven’t and I’m about to give up hope. Not completely, cuz that would be foolish, but enough to be able to try and begin to move on. It will only make life easier. Sometimes things just don’t work out the way you want them. Although, if they did, I would learn to do a flip, cuz then I would flip for joy…. Lame line…

Yea, so anyways, hope all you dads, soon to be dad, or grandads had great Father’s days. We had a good one. Out for now. Peace.

Last night was dope.

Punch the Clock melted some faces as well as most of the other bands. Pretty sick little venue, pretty small, but roller skating/blading was included. I didn’t in fear of breaking something. And I didn’t feel like spotting an extra e bucks for blades. But oh well. Good time for sure. Make sure to check them out at their myspace here. Give em some support. Bryan 1 was trying to get some of the set recorded if not all, but I guess the system wasn’t working like it could have so we were out of luck. I was on photographer duty and got some nice shots. You can check em out when they get put up. Also like three others were snappin ‘graphs and I’m sure will send them to put on their myspace. Got home late, but like I said, last night was dope.

On the way home, we got in a little discussion. I’m gonna see how people respond on here. See what you think. Here’s the topic. Who would you go see live first? John Mayer or Jamie Cullum? Some of you may not know who Jamie is, but fear not, I have been looking for some sweet videos and found some. Oh, and I forgot to mention, tickets are $75.00. So which one would you spot that much for? I said Jason Mraz…

Here’s Jamie live at Blenheim Palace.

And here’s John live.

(and uh, so he might be playing with Eric, but still, its JM live. Enjoy)

So make your decisions and let me know. Peace.

Dang, I slept well.

It’s about a hour and a half after I wanted to wake up this morning, but I got really good sleep last night. Which is good, cuz Bryan and I are on the road again today. Heading to San Jose for ‘Punch the Clock’s’ debut show. I’m pretty excited. These guys have been working hard from what I hear and have gone through some struggles to get the ball rolling. Hopefully this will give them some exposure. I was asked to do some art for them, but haven’t honestly sat down to draw anything out but hopefully soon I can get them some designs. It what I want to do further down the road, be able to design for bands logos, web sites, etc. So anyways, tonight should be fun though. Long trip. But thats how we roll. We will be in Woodland for maybe two hours or so, I think we are having an El Patio craving so hit us up and come hang out.

And for those of you that haven’t heard I got the job at Dutch Brothers. And I’m stoked about it. Its a bit of a drive, but it will be worth it. Grand opening is in exactly a week and I can’t wait to bring the Dutch Love to the small town of Orland.

But thats it for now. We need to get on the road. Have a good day. Peace.

Ok, here is the original, and may I say, brilliant.

But this video is off the hook. And the remix is cuh-razy.

Check these lyrics on a bad day

At the risk of sounding shallow
Maybe trivial or trite
Emotional or mellowed
Well, how can I say this right?
Guess, I’m not the kind that figures
Life’s all rainbows and blues skies
Still I just can’t help but notice
I’ve got no good cause to cry

It’s just been one of those days, one of those days
Every glass half full, every drop lemonade
Just one of those days, one of those days
All my worries to bed
And my faith wide awake
Hey, hey, hey
Just one of those days
Just one of those days

There’s a smile I can’t turn down
For a dance across my face
And the way I see things now
A frown would just be out of place
Cause I know you’re in your heaven
Yeah, with both hands on the wheel
And somehow this simple knowing
Has infected how I feel

I’m not blind to imperfections
Still a realist by trade
A pragmatic, pessimistic, over-thinker
On a break

Let me know.

I am currently looking for either a jazz bass/bass amp combo or a decent electric that I can buy off someone or at some place. Does anyone know of anything. I have price range, and want to stick to it, but if its a sweet deal, I might be swayed to step up and spot for it. But yea, good people if you could keep an eye open for me, that would be great to let me know.

Also, another thing I could use your help on, is work. Not like a steady job, but anything art related. I was talking to a friend yesterday and he suggested trying to get myself out and to see what happens. I agree, the worst would be that I’m back where I am at now. Prices won’t be high to start off with, because, well lets face it, I’m trying it out. If you have pictures, you, a scene, something, anything, let me know and we can talk about how you want it done. I really want to possibly become better at this because it is gonna be a big part of my career. So please let me know, if not you, then someone you know. Again, thanks for reading and being faithful to Hakkuna Matata. Peace.
